I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

Beach BluesBeach Blues by Joanne DeMaio
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I started reading because it is Barnes and Noble's Serial Read for July 2018. I never know how far I am into the book when I am given only a few chapters per day, so I mark it off in 3% increments until there are no more chapters remaining.
This ebook was entertaining. I recommend it to readers who like many well-developed characters in one of those"it takes a whole village to tell a story" because there will be more books and more stories to be told.

Love Finds You in Amana, IowaLove Finds You in Amana, Iowa by Melanie Dobson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This ebook has been in my Nook library since I downloaded it in 2012. It is interesting to read a fictionalized account of the Amana colonies. I only gave it two stars because I could not get interested in the characters of Amalie, Friedrich, and Matthias. I do not know what I might suggest to the author that might explain the disconnect between her characters and this reader.

The Women in the CastleThe Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I read this because it is the August selection for my book club. It is well-written and deserves 4 stars. I just cannot get enthused about it to recommend it more highly because I am tired of reading books related to Nazi atrocities that have to be discussed in this group such as the March selection, Karolina's Twins.
