The librarian recommended this as a possible book club selection, and I did not read it until after our book club disbanded. I wish we had discussed this as most members of our club were born after the Civil Rights movement. Our discussions might have been lively. This book tells an interesting story of an historical time.

I rate a book with 5 stars when I want to press the book into hands of acquaintances and say, "You have got to read this!" It was so good I shushed my husband when he asked a question while I was reading.
