Barnes and Noble offered this for the Serial Reads selection for Nov 2019. C'mon Amazon, let ebook edition show up when I look through editions.
The author tells the story with an unreliable narrator because Maria has Asperberger's on the Autism spectrum. This is an origin story and first part of a trilogy.
I am not interested in reading any more from this trilogy.
