I give it 2.5 stars because I never cared that much about the characters. Most of the storylines were wrapped by the end of the book. I reduced it by the half-star because I did not like the choice of the character for the villain.

I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore


This ebook has been in my Nook library since I downloaded it in August 2014.
It is action-packed fantasy that is written to hold your attention, and yet the characters are written so that they feel real.
I never saw the movie that was made in 2011, and I am unlikely to rent it.
I enjoyed it enough to borrow the next one from my local library.

This book was in my Kindle library since January 6, 2024 when I downloaded it as part of the First Reads Promotion.
I enjoyed the book. I usually save the fourth star for book I recommend to other readers. I am reluctant to recommend it when I am unaware if the next reader might feel triggered by stories of emotional abuse of young girls by someone they respected and tried to please.
