I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

House RulesHouse Rules by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A friend gave me this book in 2012 with the phrase, "I'm not sure if you will like this, but it is a mystery." With a recommendation like that, I waited until 2026 to read it.
I really liked that a book told in multiple viewpoints has the chapter's headline tells the reader whose viewpoint and also the fonts are different to continue the distinction.
The mystery was good.

Wish You Were HereWish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yes, I warn those to whom I recommend it that it might bring back some uncomfortable feelings about our early days of the pandemic when we felt anger towards those who might infect us despite our best efforts. That one scene with Finn after she visited her mother brought up some uncomfortable feelings I had about being critizied for choices I made.

Small Great ThingsSmall Great Things by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this because it is my book club's August selection.
I look forward to the discussions this book will generate because I was sometimes uncomfortable for the characters in their conflicts. I have not been a fan of Picoult's writing style because I think she creates her characters to fit the story she wants to tell.

My Sister's KeeperMy Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This was a quick read for me because I could scan it and know where the author was taking me. Many people enjoy this author's books, but I did not enjoy it.
