I enjoyed this trilogy so much. I might have dismissed the first book, The Taken as a paranormal mystery and romance and never read it thinking I don't read books with a paranormal aspect to it. I would have missed out if I had done that.
Yes, I kept reading because the biggest mystery was not solved until this book, but I did not feel "cheated" as I often do when the mystery is continued through book 1 and 2.
I recommend this series!

I borrowed this ebook from my local library on Hoopla app as soon as I finished The Taken which had been unread in my Nook library for too long. Yes, I apologize to this author for waiting too long to start this series.
And, as soon as I finished this book, I started the third, The Given.

This has been in my Nook library since 2013 when I downloaded it for free from Barnes and Noble.
I enjoyed the characters of Grif Shawn and Kit Craig, and recommend it to adult readers who might be surprised to enjoy a mystery with a para-normal spice to it.
