About Me

My photo
I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

Karolina's Twins: A NovelKarolina's Twins: A Novel by Ronald H. Balson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I bought this ebook from Barnes and Noble because there were nine requests for the book before my request at my local library, and I had only 3 weeks before this book would be reviewed by my book club.
The questions on ReadingGroupGuides.com are the same ones at the end of this book.
Most of this book is told in a conversational style, and most of the responses are almost a monologue so there is little character development. I'm still not sure what motivated Arthur to pursue incompetency hearings.
It provided ample discussion for our club.

I placed a request for this ebook as soon as my library had it on Overdrive, and I was still 30th in line.
It may be read as a stand-alone or enjoyed by fans of the series.

HeiressHeiress by Susan May Warren
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I downloaded this ebook to my Nook library in 2012 when it was free from Barnes and Noble. I knew it was historical fiction and Christian fiction. It disappointed me because the girls were whiny and the preaching became heavy-handed.
Some readers may enjoy this more than I did.

The EntitledThe Entitled by Frank Deford
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I downloaded this ebook to my Nook library in 2012 when it was free from Barnes and Noble.
It is nice to find a "guy" book that is not a murder mystery. It might be a good discussion book for a book club.

Map of Bones: A Sigma Force NovelMap of Bones: A Sigma Force Novel by James Rollins
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This ebook has been in my Nook library since 2012 when I downloaded it for free from Barnes and Noble.
I gave it only two stars because I was starting to wonder when this book would ever end instead of being eager to find out what would happen next to our heroes.
This book is for fans of Sigma Force series. It can be read as a stand alone.
