About Me

I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

A Single SwallowA Single Swallow by Ling Zhang
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is different from what I usually read with the many different characters contributing to the many chapters, even two chapters were told by different dogs. It is set in a different culture, in different wars, and yet the author helps us understand the common humanity and its fraility.

What Lies Beneath (Rutland crime series, #1)What Lies Beneath by Adam Croft
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was the April 2022 Serial Read selection from Barnes and Noble. Only two or three chapters were offered each day in order to finish this book. Lately the chapters are downloaded to my Nook out of order so that I have to pay attention to the chapter name to read them in consecutive order, and not just follow the ReadNext prompt.
I rates 3 stars as it is another mystery that requires two murders before the murderer is found.

Where the Story StartsWhere the Story Starts by Imogen Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I borrowed from Amazon's Prime Reading on May 16, 2021, and finally started it this year.
It is a story about making friendships as an adult, and a story about family secrets from prior generations that children know nothing, and have to make some sense of years later.
I recommend it.

Rescue Team (Grace Medical, #2)Rescue Team by Candace Calvert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I downloaded this ebook for free in 2014 from Barnes and Noble, and it has been in my Nook library.
I recently finished another book by this author, and I enjoyed her writing style that uses a theme of redemption when she writes in the Christian fiction genre, and it works if you like cowboy romances.
