About Me

I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

Firestorm (Anna Pigeon, #4)Firestorm by Nevada Barr
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I went back to read some books from the beginning of the series that I am unsure if I read about 25 years ago. The topic seemed timely when I heard about wildfires in California and Oregon.
Yes, this is why I prefer early books in the Anna Pigeon series to most of the more recently printed.

Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and WorkDecisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work by Chip Heath
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was recommended during my Noom lessons, and my library had it available.
I like the summary at the end of each chapter; recommendations for further reading; clinics; overcoming obstacles, and endnotes. Its system uses the acronym WRAP: Widen your options; Reality-test Your Assumptions; Attain Distance before Deciding; Prepare to be wrong.

Deep Cover Jack (Hunt For Reacher #4)Deep Cover Jack by Diane Capri
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I borrowed from my public library on its Overdrive app, and returned as soon as I finished so next person may borrow. There is at least one other person who is trying to read these in order as I am.
I still enjoy the series but it is predictable.
