I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

Good for YouGood for You by Camille Pagán
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I downloaded this to my Kindle library when it was offered as a First Reads promotion on February 2023.
I recommend it to readers of contemporary romance in a world with declining corporate middle-management opportunities, grief, and long-lingering effects of childhood trauma. I took a star away for the implication that the heroine needs a substantial inheritance before she can feel supported enough to
quit a place that underpays its workers.

All This Time (Brandywood #1)All This Time by Annabelle McCormack
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I downloaded this to my Nook library from Barnes and Noble's #Free Friday promotion on December 8, 2023.
I recommend it to readers who enjoy contemporary Christmas romance that takes all the stereotypes from a Hallmark movie and makes them so damaged these characters seem to be more like the people that you kinda-know or at least heard about from your friend who enjoys gossip. This story gives you hope they will do better gomg forward because they have learned from some mistakes.

The Chemistry of LoveThe Chemistry of Love by Sariah Wilson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I downloaded it to my Kindle library in January 2023 when it was offered as a Prime First Reads selection.
I enjoyed this entertaining rom-com, and I laughed out loud at the nerdy references because I understood them.
This is a rom-com I can recommend to those of us who enjoy this genre.

Night Comes Down: A C.T. Ferguson Crime Novel (The C.T. Ferguson Mysteries)Night Comes Down: A C.T. Ferguson Crime Novel by Tom Fowler
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This ebook was the Serial Reads from Barnes and Noble for December 2023.
It is an entertaining read. I might cast Christian Kane as C.T. Ferguson; but maybe I have been watching too many FreeVee series. Only one chapter a day feels like episodic series with lots of ads.

Never Too LateNever Too Late by Amara Royce
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I downloaded this book in 2014 to my Nook library when it was offered by Barnes and Noble.
I do not feel I can recommend it as I am not sure the author was clear about the themes of the story. Was it to be a throbbing romance; was it a historical fiction about how some tried to rescue women and children from intimidation and sex-trafficking; was it a justification for a romance with partners of different adult ages?

HybridHybrid by Brian O'Grady
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I downloaded this ebook in 2014 to my Nook library when Barnes and Nobles offered it for free. I did not read it until 2023, three years after all of us lived through the Pandemic and Lockdown for real. It makes me wonder what the author thought about the similarities and differences between the two.

I liked the main story about Trinity and Heath. I think the secondary line about Chinese families plots were overly complicated for this book.

I moved this Kindle book to my currently reading list September 6, and I only really started it on September 24, and then I could not put it down. The author really struck a chord with me about the Lockdown and the Pandemic.

Awaken Your Genius: Escape Conformity, Ignite Creativity, and Become ExtraordinaryAwaken Your Genius: Escape Conformity, Ignite Creativity, and Become Extraordinary by Ozan Varol
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I purchased the book on the recommendation from Tiago Forte's newsletter. I guess I have read too many self-help/inspirational books over my reading life to find anything new or original about this book. Sure, he has oodles of footnotes and sources to back-up his statements. Sometimes his statements are worth underlining. Sometimes every generation needs their own interpretation of good advice for continued growth. If you need it, I hope this book helps you.

Love You Right (Love You, Maine #1)Love You Right by Julia Kent
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I downloaded this ebook from Barnes and Noble when it was offered on its #FreeFriday promotion. I enjoyed the book for its characters and the setting in Luview (Love You), Maine. I dropped a star because this old prude cannot recommend it to friends or family. This old prude is beginning to realize that the genre of contemporary romance will make me blush, and I have to skip a chapter.

Seabreeze Christmas (Summer Beach, #4)Seabreeze Christmas by Jan Moran
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in a series, and I continue to read the series; but it has lots of repetition in order to remind readers of the previous 3 books without letting us know how much progress the FBI might be making on the original artworks found in book #1. We did learn how some pieces might belong to the estate as "mislaid" property, and not to current owners when the property was sold as is. New characters were introduced as guests of Seabreeze Inn.
I borrowed this copy from my local library on its Hoopla app.
I hope fans of this series enjoy the book.

Seabreeze Sunset (Summer Beach #3)Seabreeze Sunset by Jan Moran
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I borrowed this ebook on the Hoopla app from my local library.
This is the third book of a series, and I enjoy these characters. I thought there was a bit too much repetition of the characters back stories, and not enough information about new events such as the art show.
It is entertaining , and I plan to continue to read more of the series.
