I downloaded this novella into my Nook library when Barnes and Noble offered it for free in 2017. It is a quick read because there are 3 teasers for more books by Cathy Lamb at the end.
It is entertaining and predictable. Enjoy it as you might have enjoyed one of Meredith's merengue cookies or pink cake.
