Fletch by Gregory McDonald

Fletch was the Serial Read for May 2019 from Barnes and Noble. A chapter or two is released each day, and then you have to the end of the month to finish your reading.
I enjoyed this 1974 book, even if parts seems dated, there are more parts that seem relevant as Fletch investigates how opiates and heroin are coming into The Beach. I remember the 1985 movie with Chevy Chase as Fletch.
I recommend it to readers who enjoy a well-crafted mystery.
