Fall of Giants by Ken Follett

Maybe, because this book had so much marketing hype, I rated it 2 stars instead of 3; but I found it disappointing because I've read other multi-generational books by other authors that I enjoyed more. This book is the first part of a trilogy about five families in different parts of the world in the 20th century; and yet, when the book ended I really did not care what happened to any of the characters. I don't eagerly anticipate the next book.
