I'm a reader who enjoys posting comments and recommendations about the books I read. You will not find a synopsis with my recommendations because you can just click on the book title for a link to www.goodreads.com for a synopsis and reviews by other readers. I prefer the 3 Reason format: the reason I chose to read it; the reason I liked (or disliked) the book; and the reason I recommend it.

The Chronic Cough Enigma: How to recognize, diagnose and treat neurogenic and reflux related coughThe Chronic Cough Enigma: How to recognize, diagnose and treat neurogenic and reflux related cough by Jamie A. Koufman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a footnote in a brochure from a voice therapist, I was informed of Dr. Koufman's first book, Dropping Acid, and I learned about this book when I searched the catalog at my local library. I'm only days into the induction diet which requires 2 weeks committment; but I see less hoarseness upon awaking and fewer coughing fits throughout the day.
It is a quick read of only 76 pages with the rest being glossary, footnotes, and index.
I recommend it highly to all people who have a chronic cough and who have been unable to get a proper diagnosis from multiple specialists. Even if you find the right diagnosis, this book provides better explanations and more information for diet modification than a brochure with a list of only nine foods to avoid.
